Basketball Game Preview: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. Katella Knights

The Citrus Hill Hawks will challenge the Katella Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Citrus Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Geffen Academy 73-46.

Citrus Hill found their leader in sophomore Jerren White, who dropped a triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 32 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kason Steward, who went 7-for-16 en route to 16 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Citrus Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 17 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Katella sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-64 victory over Perris on Friday.

Katella's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Citrus Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 17-12.
