Softball Game Preview: Lebanon Cedars vs. Solanco Golden Mules

Lebanon hasn't had much luck against Solanco recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cedars will be playing at home against the Golden Mules at 4:15 p.m. Lebanon has given up an average of 13.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lebanon is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Lampeter-Strasburg, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Solanco came tearing into Thursday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Pioneers 10-4. Ten seems to be a good number for the Golden Mules as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Solanco's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Lebanon might still be hurting after the 22-5 loss they got from Solanco in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Cedars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
