After losing to Henderson the last time they met, Kilgore decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Kilgore Bulldogs who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Kilgore Bulldogs got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Henderson Lions' three. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Lions are ranked 530th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Henderson, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7-1.
