Basketball Recap: Idaho City Wildcats vs. Compass Charter Aviators
Idaho City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 77-31 defeat at the hands of the Compass Charter Aviators. The Wildcats lost against the Aviators in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 63-54 score last time.
Kellen Walbuck continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Compass Charter, going 11 of 13 en route to 26 points along with seven steals and six boards. The dominant performance gave Walbuck a new career-high in points. Jayden Horn was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.
Idaho City's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Compass Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.
