Basketball Recap: Zach Wolford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Worthington Kilbourne over Marion Harding

Worthington Kilbourne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 56-37 to the Marion Harding Presidents. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Presidents are ranked 69th).

Worthington Kilbourne lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zach Wolford, who went 6 of 15 en route to 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Wolford a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Fisher, who posted seven points.

Worthington Kilbourne's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Marion Harding, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Worthington Kilbourne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-46 victory against Marysville on the 8th. As for Marion Harding, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-46 win against Galion on the 9th.
