Basketball Game Preview: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Marathon Dolphins

The St. Brendan Sabres will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marathon Dolphins at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

St. Brendan is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mater Academy Charter just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They had to suffer through a 58-19 loss at the hands of the Lions. The Sabres were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-9.

Bella Perez was St. Brendan's leading scorer, having posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Marathon ended up a good deal behind NSU University on Tuesday and lost 65-46. The Dolphins were down 57-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Marathon now has a losing record at 3-4. As for St. Brendan, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

St. Brendan took their win against Marathon when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 62-38. Does St. Brendan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marathon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
