Basketball Recap: Missisquoi Valley Comes Up Short

Missisquoi Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 38-25 to the Vergennes Commodores. The Thunderbirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Commodores earlier this season, when they won 37-35.

Missisquoi Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Vergennes, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Missisquoi Valley will face off against Colchester at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vergennes, they will square off against Middlebury at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Middlebury will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Vergennes surely won't give up without a fight.
