The Freeman Scotties's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Deer Park at home by a decisive 56-39 margin. Freeman has struggled against Deer Park recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Freeman lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylee Phelps, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 38.5% of Freeman's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Avery Boswell was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Freeman now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Deer Park, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.
Freeman will head out on the road to face off against Newport at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Deer Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeside at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
