Baseball Recap: Turner Takes a Loss

If Turner was feeling good fresh off their 23-2 takedown of Washington on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Bears came up short against the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds on Friday, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat on Friday.

Turner's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Shawnee Heights, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Thunderbirds beat Turner by a score of 11-1 later that day.
