Softball Recap: Monache Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

It's playoff time, and Monache had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Kingsburg Vikings 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Marauders, who have now won four games in a row.

Sophia Martinez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aaliyah Mosqueda, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Monache's victory bumped their record up to 16-5-1. As for Kingsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.

Looking ahead, Monache will venture away from home to challenge Garces Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Marauders 2.5, the Rams 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Kingsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
