Baseball Recap: Oroville Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Oroville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Live Oak Lions on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Izaya Keck was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Oroville's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-13. As for Live Oak, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Oroville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Corning on the 16th. As for Live Oak, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Biggs at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
