Baseball Game Preview: Benson Bunnies vs. Omaha South Packers

The Benson Bunnies will head out on the road to face off against the Omaha South Packers at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Benson comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Benson came up short against Bellevue East on Thursday, falling 14-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bunnies have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Meanwhile, Omaha South suffered their biggest loss since May 1, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to Omaha Central. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Packers were not able to get on the board.

Lou Hodoly made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged three or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Benson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Omaha South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Benson suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Omaha South in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Bunnies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
