Softball Recap: Moscow Comes Up Short

Moscow had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 6-17 to make it four. They lost 16-5 to the Lakeland Hawks. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 26-10.

Kaci Kiblen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for Lakeland, they moved to 7-14 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st (when they won 23-10).

On Lakeland's side, they got a massive performance out of Delilah ?Dizzy? Zimmerman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That's the most RBI Zimmerman has posted since back in March. Raygen Dutton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lakeland beat Moscow by a score of 14-3 later that day.
