Soccer Game Preview: Maricopa vs. Canyon del Oro

The Maricopa Rams will face off against the Canyon del Oro Dorados at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon del Oro took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Maricopa, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Maricopa beat Poston Butte 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Meanwhile, Canyon del Oro entered their match against Walden Grove on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Canyon del Oro came up short against Walden Grove, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Dorados were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Zoey Gist, who's now up to six this season.

Canyon del Oro's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4. As for Maricopa, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Maricopa suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Canyon del Oro when the teams last played back in January of 2015. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Maricopa was down 5-0.
