Basketball Recap: Strawberry Crest Find Success

Jefferson came into Wednesday's matchup looking for another win against Strawberry Crest, but Hunter Hall wouldn't allow it. The Strawberry Crest Chargers claimed a resounding 67-31 victory over the Jefferson Dragons thanks in part to Hall, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Crowe, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 10 points in addition to five boards and four steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played.

Jefferson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camari Bell, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Deion Andrew, who put up six points.

Strawberry Crest's record now sits at 5-3. As for Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strawberry Crest will challenge Armwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hillsborough at 6:30 p.m.
