Baseball Recap: Reading Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Reading hadn't done well against Conrad Weiser recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Red KNights came out on top against the Scouts by a score of 9-6. This was payback for the Red KNights, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Janser Paredes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Paredes was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Reading's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-8 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anferny Trinidad, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Frank Felix also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Reading's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Conrad Weiser, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-6-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Reading and Conrad Weiser will both be playing Daniel Boone the next time they take the field. The Scouts will head out to face the Blazers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Red KNights will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
