Softball Recap: Webster/Siren Victorious

Webster/Siren was handed a 16-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bruce Red Raiders, sneaking past 24-22. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 8.4 runs per game.

Webster/Siren got a massive performance out of Malainey Smith, who went 5-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Kailey Livingston was another key player, going 3-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Webster/Siren was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Webster/Siren's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bruce, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Webster/Siren wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-8 defeat against Luck/Frederic on the 21st. As for Bruce, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-12 loss against Prairie Farm on the 21st.
