Baseball Recap: Cholla Takes a Loss

Cholla lost against Sahuarita last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chargers fell 9-5 to the Mustangs. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carlos Alvarez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Cholla's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Sahuarita, their win bumped their record up to 13-4-1.

Looking ahead, Cholla will be playing at home against Rio Rico at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sahuarita, they will venture away from home to challenge Salpointe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
