Softball Recap: Mishawaka Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mishawaka can now relate to. They fell just short of the South Bend Adams Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Cavemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Camila Rameriz spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Mishawaka has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-8 record this season. As for South Bend Adams, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.

As of now, neither Mishawaka nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
