Texas Top 25 high school boys basketball rankings: No. 1 Duncanville wins 19th straight

Panthers pounce on Lake Highlands and Pearce to win 18th and 19th straight; No. 2 Allen fights back for two close wins.

While top-ranked Duncanville rolled to its 18th- and 19th-straight wins last week, No. 2 Allen had to fight back for two hard-fought wins to highlight the MaxPreps Texas Top 25 boys basketball rankings.

The Panthers defeated Lake Highlands (Dallas) 76-59 and Pearce (Richardson) 80-38 to increase their win streak, while Allen had to go two overtimes to win at Boyd (McKinleyville) 78-71 and then fight back from a 10-point deficit to beat Prosper 78-75.

The Top 10 teams remained intact with just a few adjustments, including No. 3 Guyer which moved up from No. 4 after a 65-62 win over Byron Nelson (Trophy Club).
