Volleyball Recap: St. Patrick's Comes Up Short

St. Patrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hershey Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Ruby Uerling paced St. Patrick's offense, picking up 15 kills. Uerling got some help from Brooke Brosius and her 33 assists. Miranda Huggenberger controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. Patrick's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Hershey, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

St. Patrick's didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Valentine on the 18th. As for Hershey, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mitchell on the 18th.
