Volleyball Recap: Morgan Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wilcox Academy two weeks ago, Morgan Academy came back down to earth. The Senators fell just short of the Evangel Christian Lightning by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Senators have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Morgan Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Evangel Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 23 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6-2 record this season.

Evangel Christian has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against South Choctaw Academy on the 4th. Hopefully Morgan Academy paid attention to the Lightning's contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lightning at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
