After a string of ten wins, Santa Ynez's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bishop Diego Cardinals by a score of 1-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Santa Ynez's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Bishop Diego, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
