Football Recap: Providence School Falls to Frostproof in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Providence School kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Frostproof Bulldogs by a score of 17-14. The Stallions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Providence School lost, don't look at Hans Price. Despite the final result, he threw for 190 yards and one TD on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown. The Stallions also got help from Pete Kuhlman, who showed off his sure hands for 101 receiving yards.

The victory was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for Frostproof, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Providence School will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Carrollwood Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frostproof, they will venture away from home to face off against Hardee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
