Preview: Natoma Tigers vs. Stockton Tigers
The Natoma Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Stockton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Natoma is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-16, which was the final score in Natoma's tilt against Rock Hills on Tuesday. Natoma has not had much luck with Rock Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Natoma saw an underclassman step up: Lillian Carter scored two points along with 11 rebounds and five steals. Lynae Paget was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Stockton stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Miltonvale 52-21 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Stockton.
Natoma has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Stockton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
