Volleyball Recap: Boerne-Champion Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Boerne-Champion had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Southwest Dragons 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won three in a row.

While Boerne-Champion won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 26-24.

Taylor Fenton paced Boerne-Champion's offense, picking up 13 kills. Fenton got some help from Brady Cooksey and her 38 assists. Brielle Boothe controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Boerne-Champion will venture away from home to face off against Cooper at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Southwest, they will take on Brennan in a tournament on Friday.
