Softball Game Preview: Tyler Knights vs. South Harrison Hawks

The Tyler Knights will venture away from home to take on the South Harrison Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither Tyler nor South Harrison posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Tyler fell victim to St. Marys and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, South Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-0 to Ritchie County.

South Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Tyler, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Tyler took their win against South Harrison when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
