Baseball Recap: Hampton Roads Academy Takes a Loss

Hampton Roads Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on Saturday.

Hampton Roads Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Graham Hutchens, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Hampton Roads Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6-1.

Coming up, Hampton Roads Academy will square off against Peninsula Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.83 runs per game on average), something the Navigators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they will challenge TEACH Homeschool at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
