Basketball Recap: Holmen Extends Home Winning Streak to 12

Holmen had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 81-64 victory over the La Crosse Logan Rangers. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Rangers are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holmen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keenan Eisermann out in front who went 6 for 11 to rack up 21 points. Another player making a difference was Alex Berget, who went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and four steals.

Holmen pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points over those games. As for La Crosse Logan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holmen will take on Sparta at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Crosse Logan, they will face off against La Crosse Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
