After a string of four wins, Green Run's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 72-45 loss at the hands of the Kellam Knights. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Knights are ranked 15th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kellam to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caroline Casady, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 19 rebounds. Green Run will face off against Tallwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kellam, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Nansemond River at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nansemond River is on a six-game streak of home wins, Kellam a 11-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
