Owensboro is 9-1 against Ohio County since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Owensboro 3.4, Ohio County 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Owensboro is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Hancock County on Wednesday as they made off with a 14-6 win. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Ohio County is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Butler County on Tuesday, but Butler County came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bears a 2-0 shutout. The two-run effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Not much got past Parker Westerfield, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Butler County off the board.

On the hitting side, Collin Bullock was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Owensboro now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ohio County, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything went Owensboro's way against Ohio County in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Owensboro made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
