Basketball Recap: Belleview Christian Victorious

Peetz typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Belleview Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 victory over the Peetz Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Bruins have won by exactly three points.

Belleview Christian found their leader in sophomore Justus Cunningham, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Polson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Belleview Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

The win got Belleview Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Peetz, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3.

Belleview Christian will challenge Front Range Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peetz, they will welcome Briggsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
