Waterloo and Mascoutah are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will welcome the Indians  at 5:45  p.m.  on Tuesday.
Waterloo is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine  goals  on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Triad  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of  2-1.
Waterloo's goal came courtesy  of  Cole Ludwig, who's now up to five this season.
 Meanwhile, Mascoutah kept a clean sheet against Centralia  on Monday. They were the clear victors by  a  5-0 margin over the Orphans. Considering Mascoutah's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Mascoutah has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-2 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three  goals over those eight  matches. As for Waterloo, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3-2.
 Waterloo beat Mascoutah by a goal  in their previous meeting  back in September, winning  1-0. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success,  or do  the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
