Basketball Recap: Harrison Takes a Loss

Harrison was the 48-38 winner over Pelham Memorial when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Harrison Huskies took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pelham Memorial Pelicans. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Pelicans are ranked 47th).

Harrison's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Pelham Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Harrison has already played their next contest (against Rye), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pelham Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-52 win against Riverside on the 27th.
