Baseball Recap: Gunnison Valley Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Gunnison Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Millard Eagles by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-5 back in March.

Peyton Sanders was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Gunnison Valley pushed their record up to 18-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Millard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.

Gunnison Valley will face off against Milford at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. Millard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
