Basketball Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Wilson duked it out withTerrell on Thursday. The Wilson Wildcats took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Terrell Tigers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Wilson saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kam Rose posted 19 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Yonker, who earned eight points and seven rebounds.

Aubree Tate had a dynamite game for Terrell, putting up 21 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Tate a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Christyana Jacobs, who had nine points and six boards.

Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Terrell, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Wilson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-25 victory against Trinity Leadership on the 27th. As for Terrell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-38 defeat against Seagoville on the 27th.
