Baseball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Christian Heritage Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Temple Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Christian Heritage Academy Knights put the hurt on the Temple Christian Crusaders with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 10-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Hunter Manning made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Gavin Hodges was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-1. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Jake Bowles also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Temple Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage Academy will welcome Westover Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Temple Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Timberlake Christian at 4:30 p.m.
