Softball Recap: Villa Park Triumphs

Villa Park came out on top against Sunny Hills on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Spartans walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Lancers. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory got Villa Park back to even at 11-11. As for Sunny Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Villa Park will challenge San Juan Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Stallions have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Sunny Hills, they will take on Sonora at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
