            Softball Recap: Kettle Moraine Lasers vs. Arrowhead Warhawks        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Kettle Moraine ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Arrowhead Warhawks  7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Lasers have posted  since May 23, 2024.
 Briella Hack spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Sarah Marcheske, who  went 3-for-5 with one  home run and five  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alesandra Hernandez, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
Kettle Moraine's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-7. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Arrowhead, their defeat  ended  a  seven-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 10-2.
 Coming up, Kettle Moraine will venture away from home to  square off against Muskego  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Lasers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Arrowhead, they will take on Catholic Memorial at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
