Recap: Lamar Silver Foxes vs. Lake View Wild Gators
The Lamar Silver Foxes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Lake View by a score of 67-55. That 12 points margin sets a new team best for Lamar this season.
Xavier "Zoom" Jackson was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 16 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Alvion Ward, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Lake View still got an impressive performance from Jayden Ford, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmarion Nichols, who scored eight points.
Lamar's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Lake View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will face off against Green Sea Floyds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake View, they will head out on the road to face off against Hannah-Pamplico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hannah-Pamplico will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
