Recap: Parkway Center City Bulldogs vs. MAST Charter II Voyagers
The Parkway Center City Bulldogs lost against the MAST Charter II Voyagers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Parkway Center City fell 63-53 to MAST Charter II.
Despite the loss, Parkway Center City still got an impressive performance from Israel Mckinley, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Mckinley pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dock Brown, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Cedric Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with four steals for MAST Charter II. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of MAST Charter II's points. Lou Henderson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Parkway Center City bumped their record down to 6-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for MAST Charter II, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Parkway Center City will head out on the road to square off against Liguori Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Liguori Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for MAST Charter II, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Martin Luther at 3:15 p.m. Martin Luther comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
