Softball Recap: Grand County Red Devils vs. San Juan Broncos

The Grand County Red Devils took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Juan Broncos on Tuesday. Grand County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was hope Shumway, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

On San Juan's side, Trinity Whatcott made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Whatcott has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances.
