Baseball Recap: Albuquerque Has No Trouble Against Valencia

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Albuquerque Academy, Albuquerque was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Valencia Jaguars 14-4. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Maximo Granados was excellent, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Michael Grange, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Albuquerque always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Albuquerque's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Valencia, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albuquerque will face off against Farmington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valencia, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Valencia Jaguars duke it out with Montezuma-Cortez Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Montezuma-Cortez will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
