Cascade came out on top against Danville on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Cadets took their matchup against the Warriors 6-2. The win was familiar territory for the Cadets, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Grace Gray made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Macey Pugh, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Tara Gruca also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Cascade's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Danville, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will square off against Monrovia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Danville, they will face off against Guerin Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
