Basketball Recap: River Forest Ingots vs. Hanover Central Wildcats
After flying high against Whiting last Wednesday, River Forest came back down to earth. The River Forest Ingots lost 49-26 to the Hanover Central Wildcats on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Ingots in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the loss, River Forest still got an impressive performance from D?Yanna Hurn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Hurn has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last nine times she's played.
Hanover Central had a senior duo take command as Sienna Antkiewicz went 6 of 8 on her way to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals and Bridget Noel posted 12 points and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Antkiewicz has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Vanderhye, who put up four points and eight rebounds.
River Forest's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hanover Central, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
River Forest will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hammond Bishop Noll at 9:30 a.m. on December 27th. As for Hanover Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Morgan Township at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
