Softball Recap: Green Bay Preble Beats Chippewa Falls for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Green Bay Preble put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Chippewa Falls Cardinals by a score of 8-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Friday.

Tenley Kuehn was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Kuehn was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sam Foytik, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ella Cotter, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Green Bay Preble lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Green Bay Preble's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Chippewa Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Green Bay Preble will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 1.3, the Redbirds 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Chippewa Falls, they will host Hudson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
