Recap: Ridgeland Titans vs. Lanier Bulldogs
The Ridgeland Titans won the last time they faced the Lanier Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Ridgeland walked away with a 60-53 win over Lanier. Given Ridgeland's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Lanier is ranked 178th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ridgeland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Phil Nelson, who scored 18 points. The matchup was Nelson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Khameron Snow was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
Ridgeland's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4. As for Lanier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
Ridgeland will head out on the road to face off against Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lanier won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Terry on December 16th.
