Ralph (Trey) Blakeney Dazzles in Hough Victory

Ralph (Trey) Blakeney's big game helped extend Hough's winning streak to six on Thursday. Nobody could stop Blakeney as he threw for 178 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards. Those 47 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

On the year, Blakeney has thrown 22 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 221.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 11.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 26.71 rushing yards.

Zierre Brooks Delivers Best Effort of Season

Zierre Brooks produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Chambers to the win on Thursday. Brooks rushed for 201 yards while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards.

Chambers has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Brooks and Chambers will welcome North Mecklenburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Malik Dalton's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

On Thursday, Chambers got the W thanks in part to Malik Dalton playing the best football he has all season. Dalton rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

On the year, Dalton has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 38.8 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging one rushing yard per game.

Hough Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Jycen Anciso

Hough picked up their sixth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Jycen Anciso. Nobody could stop Anciso as he picked up 33 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards.

On the season, Anciso has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 27.4 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 15.29 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 61.86 rushing yards.

Nichols Made His Presence Known in West Charlotte's 40-14 Defeat

Rounding off our Top Five is Jamouri Nichols of West Charlotte. Nichols threw for 171 yards and a touchdown on only 15 passes.

This season, Nichols has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 190.4 passing yards per game.
