Soccer Recap: Yorktown Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Yorktown had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Westfield on Thursday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. Yorktown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by three goals or more this season.

The win (which was Yorktown's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matchups. As for Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Yorktown and Westfield will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Patriots see the pitch they'll take on Langley at 7:15 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Westfield, their break will end when they face Centreville at 7:15 p.m. on the 24th.
