Football Game Preview: Phillips Exeter Academy Lions vs. Choate Rosemary Hall School Wild Boars

Phillips Exeter Academy is 1-6 against Choate Rosemary Hall School since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Lions will challenge the Wild Boars at 1:00 p.m. Phillips Exeter Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Choate Rosemary Hall School likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Phillips Exeter Academy blew past Phillips Academy, posting a 48-10 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Big Blue recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Choate Rosemary Hall School). They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 51-20 victory over Deerfield Academy. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wild Boars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fifth in Connecticut, while the Big Green are ranked 147th in Massachusetts).

Choate Rosemary Hall School's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Phillips Exeter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Phillips Exeter Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Choate Rosemary Hall School in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 38-36. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wild Boars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
